Each computer’s job:

• DEV1 - Stores software and raw data
• DEV2 - Runs LabView winch control and sends data to iPad
• DEV3 - Plots and processes incoming data
• DEV9 - Bonus computer with Matlab installed

• You can connect the second monitor to DEV3 with a HDMI-USB-C (so you’ll have one HMDI-HMDI and one HDMI-USBC)

GPS data and time server

• GPS feed comes from serial connection to ship. Use a long serial cable with male side to ship and female side to a RS-232 dongle that plugs into

• The time server comes from the GPS antenna we set up outside

• Once it’s hooked up to the GPS port, make sure all computers Settings “Date & Time” point to its address, 192.168.1.250

• Run this command in Terminal: sudo sntp -sSd 192.168.1.250

UDP

• If you want UDP (to get things like Alex’s python code for situational awareness working), you need to find DEV3’s IP address on the ship’s wifi network
  • Click on the 3 dots next to the wifi network, click Network Settings, look at IP address
